Stefano Bigliardi has served as a researcher and teacher at universities in Germany, Sweden, Mexico, and Switzerland. Since 2016, he has been a professor of philosophy at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, a public, liberal-arts university in Morocco. He published Islam and Science: Past, Present, and Future Debates (with Nidhal Guessoum, Cambridge University Press, 2023) and New Religious Movements and Science (Cambridge University Press, 2023).
While pseudoscience is not unique to Islam - nor more pervasive within the religion - it is important to challenge where the Qur’an is used to support clearly pseudoscientific ideas.
