TAM London registration opens tomorrow (Monday 11th) at noon. Demand will be pretty high and unless I’m mistaken the venue has a capacity of around 600, so I’d personally tickets will sell out within a week. As a guide, I think the 500 tickets for the Evening with James Randi and friends were fully allocated after the first 5 days of sale, with the vast majority having sold within 3 days.
The following message is from Tracy King, one of TAM London organisers:
Hi everyone,
TAM London registration opens at noon on Monday 11th May, this is how to book:
1) Go to http://www.tamlondon.org and click on the Register button.
2) Click the link to TAM London tickets
3) You will be given options for the first delegate. Choose from the drop-down menu (discounts, diet requirements, and whether you want to add a ticket to the Saturday night event to the registration).
4) Add the name of first delegate. This is mandatory. Tickets are NOT transferable and the delegate must be the named badge-holder.
5) Add an email and postal address for the first delegate. This is so we can contact each delegate individually, and send your delegate badge in the post.
6) Click ‘add to cart’. You will be taken to a checkout page. If you’ve finished booking, click ‘checkout’ and follow payment instructions.
7) IMPORTANT: if you wish to add another ticket, click the purple ‘Continue Shopping’ option to return to step 3 and choose the ticket options for delegate number two.
I hope that’s clear enough – in this way you can buy, for example, two main registrations but just one evening ticket if that’s what you want, or one student registration and one full-price, and so on.
Very important info so please read before booking:
TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE.
Each ticket you buy must include the name of the delegate it’s intended for. You cannot use the same name twice, and we reserve the right to ask any delegate for identification at the conference.
Although each delegate must be uniquely named, you can use the same email and postal address for multiple delegates.
If you need to cancel a ticket, we can issue a refund minus a £15 admin fee up to August 1st 2009. After this date, if you need to cancel, please contact me either via Facebook or at info@tamlondon.org and I’ll arrange to transfer your ticket to someone on the waiting list (assuming we’re sold out by then, which seems likely). You cannot transfer your ticket yourself, and tickets must not be resold. Any resale or unofficial transfer will result in the ticket becoming void.
We reserve the right to cancel any transaction which appears to attempt to profit from the event. Although there is no maximum number of registrations in one transaction, we may query group bookings.
OK, that’s the serious bit over! Hopefully everyone will book in the charity spirit that is TAM London, and we’ll all have a great time at the conference. There are lots of ‘unofficial’ events to be announced, these will take place in the few days before and after the weekend, and details of the Robin Ince Spectacular are coming soon.
Happy booking!
Tracy
