Subject: What happens when you pray?
Date: June 15th 2012

Hi All,

Final reminder for panel discussion to definitively answer this question(!) this Sunday, 17 June, at 6:30 pm, at the Cheltenham Science Festival:

"Whether you are a believer or not, you can't deny that prayer is a powerful thing. Its effects can be calming, euphoric, motivating or even just reassuring. It allows believers to feel closer to their God, to feel that someone is listening and cares. Rev Richard Coles is joined by psychologist Chris French and author and former priest Mark Vernon to discuss the power of prayer from a spiritual, philosophical and scientific perspective."

I intend to give this praying lark a try myself this evening around 7:30 pm. If England win, we'll know there really is a God!

There are loads of really interesting events at the festival. Check it out: http://www.cheltenhamfestivals.com/science

Best wishes,
Chris
